Sarah Beck has completed training in Books 1-8 through the Suzuki Association of Americas at the Cleveland Suzuki Institute, Chicago Suzuki Institute, IAM Suzuki Festival, and Suzuki Music Columbus Summer Institute. A high point in her training was the opportunity to complete her Book 3 & 4 training with Master Teacher Doris Preucil—one of the pioneers of the Suzuki Method in the United States.

While earning her bachelor’s degree at DePauw University, she studied with Professor Dan Rizner and played in the DePauw University Orchestra and various chamber ensembles. After college, she earned a Master’s Degree from the Indiana University School of Education in Bloomington, Indiana.

Ms. Sarah began a private studio in 2006 in Broad Ripple, teaching part-time while her three children were infants. Perhaps her most valuable training has come through practicing day-in and day-out with her twin sons who are Suzuki violin students, and her youngest son who is an Suzuki cello student.

Sarah founded and continues to grow the Suzuki-inspired Greenfield-Central Schools String program, and enjoys working with her students at Greenfield-Central Junior High School and Greenfield-Central High School.

Sarah teaches with the Indianapolis Suzuki Academy. You can learn more information about enrollment and lessons at www.IndySuzukiAcademy.org.
