Sandra Lozano was born in Colombia. She began her musical training at the Conservatory of Music of the National University and received her undergraduate degree in Cello at Juan N. Corpas University. In her Country she worked as a Cello teacher in the Suzuki Program at National University and she also served as a teacher and cellist at University of the Andes, University of Cundinamarca, Batuta Meta (National program for creation of orchestras similar to El Sistema), Foundation Youth Orchestra of Colombia and several private academies and training schools in Bogota.

In 2008 she was winner of the Research Fellowship of the  Bank of the Republic “Fellowship Luis Angel Arango Library 50 Years”. With her music has traveled to Israel, Venezuela, Argentina, Mexico, Spain, UK, Holland, France, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Czech Republic, Vatican City, China, Hong Kong and USA. She has taken Suzuki Cello teacher trainings from the following teachers: Mrs. Gilda Barston, Carol Tarr, Carey Beth Hockett, Barbara Balatero, Tanya Carey, Avi Friedlander, Caroline Fraser and Patricia Pasmanter. Since August 2015 she is working as a Cello teacher in Hong Kong.
