In my teens I studied theory with Nadia Boulanger in Paris and piano with Jacob Lateiner in New York. I have a BA in Music from San Jose State University and an Ma in psychology applied to piano pedagogy and performance form Antioch University West. In addition to teaching privately for over 30 years, I have taught Orff Schlwerk, Kindermusik, and musicianship classes (Mountain View Community Music School) on the peninsula, and private lessons at the Lycee Francais de San Francisco. From 1967 to 2009 I performed as a soloist, chamber musician and accompanist in the greater Bay Area, and more recently I have specialized in the study of piano technique. I currently give private piano lessons in San Francisco and have been teaching at the Nueva School in Hillsborough since 2001.
