Ryan Caparella serves on the faculty of The Naperville Suzuki School, where he maintains a studio of over fourty students ages 3-18, and co-directs the WSSTE & NSS Summer Chamber Music Camp with fellow faculty Alex Revoal. Ryan holds a Masters of Music in Violin Performance from The Hartt School of Music (Hartford, CT) and a Bachelors of Music in Violin Performance from The Frost School of Music at The University of Miami. As a freelancer and ​teacher of both the violin and viola, Ryan thrives on sharing his love of music with others dually through performing and educating.​​

Ryan has pursued extensive study in violin & viola pedagogy. Ryan completed his Long Term Training in Suzuki Pedagogy with Teri Einfeldt, and has pursued additional pedagogy study with Ed Kreitman, Tom Wermuth, Elizabeth Faidley and Doris Preucil. In 2013, Ryan was invited to present at the American String Teachers’ Association National Conference. In 2017, Ryan was a recipient of the Suzuki Association of America’s Certificate of Achievement.

In addition to teaching, Ryan can be found performing across Chicago with Chicago String Progression and The Living Room Players, and has toured the US and China with The Mantovani Orchestra in recent years.
