Originally from Virginia, violist/violinist Ryan Beauchamp is currently based in Bermuda where he enjoys an active performing and teaching career. Striving to engage with local communities through collaborative music performance, he is a former member of the Sinfonia da Camera and Camerata Illinois ensembles and has also appeared with the Baroque Artists of Champaign. Past engagements include the Four Seasons Chamber Music Festival Next Generation and Krannert Art Museum Chamber Music Series, Green Mountain and Texas Music Festivals, and the Innsbrook Institute and Academy.

As a dedicated musician committed to teaching and community engagement, Ryan is currently a member of the faculty at the Bermuda School of Music. Maintaining a studio of more than forty students, his students have received various accolades, including high marks for the ABRSM (UK) exams. Prior to his appointment at BSM, he was an Advisor and Postgraduate Teaching Fellow at Renaissance Arts Academy in Los Angeles.

Teaching engagements have brought Ryan to multiple programs across the United States, including the University of Illinois Music Academy as an instructor for the String Academy and Assistant Coordinator of the Chamber Music Academy. He held the post Millikin University School of Music and Preparatory Music Department where he held the post of Adjunct Violin Instructor at Millikin University School of Music and Preparatory Department from 2015-2017. Additional teaching experience includes the Greenville (NC) Suzuki Association and the Fairview Elementary School Violin Project in Bloomington, IN.

Mr. Beauchamp obtained his long-term Suzuki training in Violin Units 1-10 at East Carolina University where he received his Bachelor of Music degree in Violin and Viola Performance with honors. He completed his Master of Music degree in Viola Performance with an outside field in Arts Administration at Indiana University. Ryan is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree (ABD) in Viola Performance at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His dissertation examines arts entrepreneurship and professional development education for graduate students. Principal teachers include Joanne Bath, Melissa Reardon, Ara Gregorian, Masumi Rostad, Liz Freivogel, in addition to chamber music studies with members of the Pacifica and Jupiter Quartets.
