Robyn G NíConney began playing violin at age 4 using the Suzuki Method.

Her passion is Traditional Irish Fiddling. She is active in the local community as both a performer and teacher. For the last 6 years she has been studying with Kevin Burke and she has hosted him in the Bay area for master classes with local students.

She is also an enthusiastic teacher of beginning classical and fiddle students.

Her first teacher was Betty Newell and she later was a student of Jane MacMorran and Jan Bogart. She is the daughter of Henry Gonzalez, who ran the Mid-Southeast Suzuki Institute in Virginia for 10 years (now called the Virigina Suzuki Institute). She has had master classes with William Starr, Milton Goldberg, Judith Starr, and Hiroko Driver, among others.
