Robyn Decker Brown is an active cellist, Suzuki teacher, and performer currently residing in Washington, Illinois. Originally from California, she is a former member of the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra as well as many other orchestras in the greater Bay Area. A graduate of Brigham Young University (BM in Cello Performance), she has soloed with a wide variety of ensembles throughout the United States and Brazil. Mrs. Brown has maintained a private cello studio for 29 years as an advocate and practitioner of the Suzuki Method, teaching cellists of all ages and abilities. She and her husband, conductor Darrell Brown, are raising five daughters who are also cellists. Her interests outside of teaching and performing include family history, pickleball, swimming, sewing, baking, Jane Austen, and learning how to tame wild mustangs.
