Violin Teacher, Student
Robin Alfieri currently teaches at the Concord Conservatory of Music, Massachusetts. She received her Suzuki Registration from Ithaca College while working toward an MM in Suzuki Pedagogy. She graduated cum laude with a BM in Violin Performance from the University of Delaware. She has a passion for teaching and enjoys working with students of all ages. She has been teaching since 2003.
Ms. Alfieri has performed numerous solo recitals. With a mixed trio at Ithaca College, she has recorded for composer Jane Brockman’s website. Additionally, she has participated in the Blue Hen outreach quartet at University of Delaware that exposed elementary aged students to stringed instruments. She especially enjoys playing in opera and musical orchestras and has participated in shows including La Boheme, the Hansel and Gretel, Sweeny Todd, and Cosi fan Tutte. She has toured with a faculty and student ensemble from Ithaca College performing Bach’s Mass in B minor and has performed at the MENC National Conference. In addition, she attended the Suzuki Association of the Americas National Conference in 2010, 2012, and 2014.
Ms. Alfieri has participated in orchestral programs such as the National Orchestral Institute and Eastern Music Festival. She has also participated in the Music Adventure chamber music program where she performed with Jaroslaw Lis and Eric Dahlin, members of the Hartford Symphony. Her mentors have included Sanford Reuning, Teri Einfeldt, Kimberly Meier-Sims, William Starr, Carolyn Tarzia, Nicholas DiEugenio, Xiang Gao, and Jaroslaw Lis.
In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, reading, and knitting.
