Hi, my name is Becky Pernicano. I grew up a Suzuki kid, starting violin at age 6. There are many years that I can remember so clearly, traveling with my family to various Suzuki Institutes to study with my teachers of choice. I became certified through Book 3 between 2007 and 2011. I am so excited and proud to be able to extend my knowledge of The Suzuki Method to the younger generation. Keeping music alive, this is very important to me. :-)

I went from being a Suzuki kid to attending North Carolina School of the Arts for my Undergraduate Degree in music performance, and Carnegie Mellon University for my Masters Degree, and Perfornance Residency Program in music performance.

I am currently a private violin teacher in the greater Pittsburgh area. I drive to a handful of locations to teach privately at my students homes, and have a private studio at the Sewickley Academy. I am a tenured first violinist with the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra.

As I’ve often told colleagues, family and friends, as long as I am performing and teaching, I’ll feel completely fulfilled. :-)
