Paul Hyun is currently teaching ages 4 to high school in San Ramon as well as teaching and offering improv to students of all levels. Paul is currently directing a few chamber groups in San Ramon.
He is a cellist based in the bay area as a performer, musician, teacher and music coach. He graduated from SFCM and Cleveland Institute of Music. He was also a member of the San Francisco Youth Orchestra from 2002-2005. He has performed with Prometheus Symphony, Palo Alto Philharmonic, Homestead High Symphony, San Jose State Symphony, SF Korean Symphony, and Gradus Parnassum Youth orchestra. He has been an inspiration to many youth and musicians throughout the years and has been studying under the mentoring of Stephen Geber- Former Principal Cellist of Cleveland Orchestra, Jean Michel Fonteneau of Ravel String Quartet in Paris, Orlando Cole of Curtis and received coachings from Robert De Maine of LA Phil, Mark Kosower of Clevleand, Kenneth Olsen of Chicago, Dave Requiro of University Boulder, Jonathan Koh, Laslo Varga, Emilio Colon and many other fine musicians. Paul also attended camps such as, Angel Fire, ARIA, Round Top, National Orchestral Institute, Hidden Valley Music, And Encore School for Strings.
