Cellist Paloma Ferrante completed her formal studies under the tutelage of Suren Bagratuni at Michigan State University where she earned her D.M.A. in Cello Performance in 2010. Previously she studied at the Royal College of Music in London with Leonid Gorokhov. There she completed both Bachelors and Masters degrees. She has also benefited from the guidance of many others, performing in masterclasses with Gary Hoffman, Natalie Clein, Steven Isserlis, Phillipe Müller and Jérôme Pernoo. She was a select participant of the prestigious Piatigorsky Seminar held at USC, and performed in masterclasses with Erling Blöndal Bengtsson, Natalia Gutman, and Nathaniel Rosen. As a solo and chamber recitalist, she frequently performs in the New York Area. Past performances have included Lincoln Center’s Rose Studio, the Ukranian Institute, WMP Concert Hall among others. Her earlier studies were at the Manhattan School of Music Pre-College division where she studied with Ardyth Alton.
