Natalia began her studies at the age of three when the Suzuki Methodology began in Costa Rica. Her mother, a harpist of the National Symphony Orchestra of Costa Rica at the time, was among the first parents to commit to the Methodology. Natalia attended college with an emphasis in violin at the National Institute of Music and additional piano courses at the same institution. She was part of the OSI (Orquesta Sinfónica Infantil), Advanced Chamber Orchestra and OSJ (Orquesta Sinfónica Juvenil), as concertmaster and principal section respectively. She studied with Professors Mercedes Moreno, Tetsuo Yagi, Guido Calvo and Jose Aurelio Castillo, current concertmaster of the National Symphony Orchestra of Costa Rica. She has received numerous master classes with prestigious musicians in the same National Institute of Music and served on international tours with the Orquesta Sinfónica Juvenil in Europe and the United States. She began receiving courses to become a Suzuki Teacher in 2011. She taught for nine years at the Suzuki School of Music in San José, Costa Rica. Now she is part of the London Suzuki School in Ontario, Canada.
