Nancy Shavin

Nancy Shavin has been a Suzuki violin/viola teacher in the Leesburg, Va area since 1992. Her Suzuki training has been with Carrie Reuning-Hummel, Ed Kreitman, Linda Case,and Ed Sprunger. She received her bachelors degree in French and German from the University of Georgia, while studying at the same time with William Steck, then concertmaster of the Atlanta Symphony.

Nancy is an active freelancer in the northern Virginia area and is a member of the National String Symphonia, Tysons-McClean Orchestra and the Loudoun Symphony. She has run a chamber music camp in Leesburg during the past 10 summers and performs in quartet concerts in the area.

Leesburg Violin Studio, LLC teaches violin and viola to all ages through private lessons,
group classes and a chamber orchestra for advanced students. The studio hosts 4 student recitals throughout the year. Virtual and in person lessons are available.
