Born and raised in Whitehorse, Yukon, Nadia began studying violin at the age of 4 and
completed her Royal Conservatory of Music Grade 10 piano exam at the age of 16. She
graduated with a Bachelor of Music in String Performance from Brandon University in 2016
studying with Kerry DuWors in Brandon, Manitoba and Daniel Phillips in Queens, New York.
Nadia moved to Vancouver in 2017 to pursue music therapy studies at Capilano University and
graduated with distinction in June 2020 after successfully completing a practicum in Richmond
and Delta working with children and adults.

Nadia has taught in her own private violin and piano studio since 2008 and is passionate about
sharing music with young people. Trained in the Suzuki and Music Together methods, she
enjoys working with all ages, abilities, and styles. Her music therapy training also influences her
teaching style, as she works with the student and their family to achieve their personal and
musical goals. Nadia believes that all children are musical and is passionate about sharing music through exploration, creativity, and play.

As a performer, Nadia was a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Canada in 2015 and
was featured as a soloist with the Queens College Chamber Orchestra in 2016. She was concert
master of the Brandon Community Orchestra for 3 seasons and performed with the Brandon
Chamber Players on numerous occasions. She continues to perform in a variety of settings in
Metro Vancouver and volunteers with the Canadian Suzuki e-Newsletter committee and the Music Therapy Association of British Columbia.

In her free time, Nadia can be found baking cookies, reading, or tending to her garden.

** Nadia currently teaches online lessons and in-person lessons throughout Metro Vancouver.
