Molly started Suzuki violin at age six and studied through high school with Idell Low. She earned a degree from UCSC in Latin American Studies and guitar, and earned her Master’s from UT Austin in Ethnomusicology with an emphasis in Latin American folk music.  She began teaching world music and music fundamentals at L.A. Trade Tech College in 2002 and performed with the Cal Arts Balinese gamelan, Burat Wangi, and the Eastern European Folk Ensemble, Nevenka.  

Molly is an artist in residence through the College of the Canyons where she teaches music to the local preschools and kindergartens. She is a trained Music Together teacher and is a music specialist at two Santa Monica preschools. Molly teaches Suzuki violin and guitar students at her studio in Encino, and also at a second studio in Santa Monica. She is the guitar and fiddle teacher at the Suzuki Music Program of LA in Encino.

Molly currently fiddles for the Flat Foot and Fancy Free show at cultural centers throughout Southern CA. with flatfoot Appalachian dancer and singer Rebecca Stout, and old-time guitarist Steve Werner. She performed for many years with the chamber pop ensemble Kotorino in NYC, and she released a children’s CD of original music in 2016 called Peach & Spoon.
