As Manager of Learning Programs for The Cleveland Orchestra, Mollibeth gets the rare opportunity to showcase her skills as a passionate music educator, content creator, organized administrator, and community collaborator. No matter which hat she’s wearing, her goal is simple – to promote lifelong learning through music.

In fall 2018, Mollibeth launched Crescendo, The Cleveland Orchestra’s newest instrumental education program at Mound STEM Elementary. Mollibeth serves as program administrator and lead teacher for Crescendo, a Suzuki-inspired violin program engaging elementary students in violin lessons multiple times per week during the school year.

When she’s not teaching in the classroom or searching toy stores for teaching tools, Mollibeth creates learning content for students, teachers, and parents on the Orchestra’s website. Her recent projects include the Music Explorers series for preschool through first grade students introducing instruments of the orchestra, the Learning Through Music online database of arts-integrated lessons plans for grades preK-5, and a teacher video library with prep materials for schools attending the Orchestra’s Education Concerts.

Previously, Mollibeth served as Education and Community Engagement Director of Eugene Symphony Association in Eugene, Oregon, where she oversaw a number of Education and Community programs and launched a new community initiative, Symphony Connect. Prior to her work with orchestras, Mollibeth taught middle and high school orchestra and general music in Prescott, Arizona.

Mollibeth holds a Master of Music in Violin Performance from Cleveland State University and a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and has completed Suzuki Violin teacher training courses.
