Mim Kerr

Suzuki Parent and Artist Teacher, Mim Kerr, started on Suzuki cello at age 4.
Mim has taught cello privately for over 20 years, and holds a Bachelor and Masters Degree in Music Performance from Mannes College of Music and Northwestern University respectively. She has played with Civic Orchestra of Chicago, ME2/strings, Orchestra of Northern New York, Glens Falls Symphony and Fort Worth Symphony. She has recorded with artists outside the classical genre; Team Tomato, George Vala, Relax Your Ears, American Music Theatre Project, The Dent and Ruin Illusion.
Mim served as the Suzuki Cello Instructor for Greenville Independent School District’s Suzuki Program for 7 years.

In the Fall of 2021, she moved back to the Adirondacks to teach and perform at a mountain town’s pace.
