Violin Teacher
Megan Kelly began her music studies at the age of three at the Suzuki Institute of Seattle where she studied both violin and piano. She obtained a Bachelor of Music from the University of Minnesota with Professor Sally O’Reilly and a Master of Music from Texas Tech University with Dr. John Gilbert, both in violin performance. Mrs. Kelly also holds a k-12 Music Education certificate from Texas Tech, has studied viola with Professor Renee Skerik, and received Suzuki Teacher Training from Ronda Cole, Susan Baer, Ann Monzka-Smelser, Beth Titterington, and Edmund Sprunger. She has played violin and viola as a contract member of numerous orchestras including Lubbock Symphony Orchestra, Midland-Odessa Symphony, Lubbock Moonlight Musicals Orchestra, Terra Haute Symphony, and Columbus Philharmonic. Mrs. Kelly currently teaches a small Suzuki violin studio in Northern Virginia where she resides with her husband, a professional clarinetist, and five children.
