Mary has been playing the violin for 32 years. She started taking Suzuki lessons in Williamsport, PA at the age of 3. Throughout her young life, she attended Ithaca Suzuki Institute many summers and actively participated in many musical groups and events. She also attended Csehy Summer School of Music from 1994-1999.

Mary graduated from West Chester University in 2005 with a Bachelor’s degree in Education. During her time at WCU, she continued to take violin lessons, played in the WCU Symphony Orchestra, and was a member of various other musical ensembles.

Mary holds certifications in New Jersey in both Elementary and Special Education. She has taught in a public school in New Jersey for 10 years, but most recently has been at home raising her young daughter.

Mary completed Every Child Can training at Temple University in May 2016 and Violin Unit 1 at Ithaca Suzuki Institute in July 2016. She most recently completed Violin Unit 2 training at Ithaca in June 2017. She enjoys working with children of all ages, and is especially interested in teaching young beginners. Mary has a home studio in Columbus, NJ, where she teaches private and group lessons.
