Margaret Burdick is the founder of the Burdick violin studio in Mesa, AZ. She has taught privately violin, viola and piano since 1996. Previously she has taught orchestra with Mesa Public Schools from 2001-2015 with a few years in between to be home more for her own family. She has three children ranging from ages 5, 9 and 11 and believes prioritizing time with her own children is very important.

Margaret has a Bachelors degree from ASU in Music Education and Music Theory and does purposely integrate music theory in a fun and engaging way to her students as they show the musical maturity to add this portion of learning into their Suzuki lessons. She also has her Masters degree in Music Education from NAU as she studied applying different assessment techniques in her classroom to increase student’s intrinsic motivation. She studied with Dr. Katie McLin and has performed with the Chandler Symphony Orchestra, Brevard Orchestra, and ASU Symphony. Margaret is currently on the board for the Valley of the Sun Suzuki Association serving as Treasurer and just completed her ECC and book 1 Suzuki Training in Greenville, NC. She currently teaches the Suzuki program at Las Sendas Elementary school as well as growing her own Suzuki studio. Her studio performs in recitals twice a year and has a lot of opportunities for group classes.
