Maggie McCallie studied Suzuki Flute Book 1 in Lima, Peru with Kelly Williamson, and Book 2 in Johnson City, TN with Rebecca Paluzzi. She also participated in Toshio Takahasi’s Tone Development class in Johnson City, TN. Upon introduction to the Suzuki method, Maggie immediately knew this was the right path for her. Having taught flute and band for several years, this method seemed to fit in perfectly with her teaching philosophy.

Maggie teaches Pre-K—6th grade music/choir at The Principia School. She is also an active performer in the St. Louis, MO area. As a member of the Musician’s Union, she performs in many different venues for a variety of events. She is the piccolo player with the St. Louis Philharmonic.

Maggie received her B.A. in music from Principia College in 2005, and M.M. in flute performance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2007. She is also a nationally certified Kodaly Educator.
