With over 40 years of experience teaching students the Suzuki piano method, Madelaine is passionate about sharing her love of music with children of all ages ranging from 4 to 18+. Madelaine received a Masters Degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University, since she has always been keenly interested in children’s cognitive development and relating it to the learning of music. She has guided her students from the Twinkles in Book 1 all the way through Book 7 and beyond, encouraging her advanced students to continue to explore the music of great composers such as Debussy and Rachmaninoff. Madelaine has studied with many wonderful Teacher Trainers through the years, such as Fay Adams, Mary Craig Powell, Doris Koppelman, Doris Harrel, Haruko Kataoka, and Ray Landers.

“I absolutely love being able to play a role in the process of a child learning a lifelong skill and developing a love of music. I believe that music enhances a child’s development and continues to be a positive influence throughout their lives. It challenges them and encourages them to reach their full potential.”
