Luna Chu started teaching in string project at University of Texas at Austin since 2015. She is an active private violin instructor at Austin area and is recently appointed as teaching fellow from Interlochen Arts Camp. She is now pursuing her doctorate at UT and study violin with Mrs. Sandy Yamamoto. During the school she was appointed as concert master of university of Texas symphony orchestra and won ACO-Bsom Competition and played as one of the soloists with Austin civic orchestra in May, 2015.
Before coming to the states, Luna played in many major orchestras of China and giving performances in many countries including China National Performing Arts Center Orchestra, China youth symphony orchestra, EOS orchestra. She went to many music festivals including Asian youth symphony orchestra. She was appointed as acting concert master in Xi’an symphony orchestra back in 2013.
Luna got her bachelor degree in Central Conservatory of Music in China and her master degree in the University of Texas at Austin.
