Luna has been Austin since 2014. She studied under Professor Sandy Yamamoto and earned her Master in Violin Performance with Excellence scholarship at University of Texas at Austin. Luna is currently pursuing her DMA in Violin Performance. At UT, Luna often serves as concertmaster at UTSO. She had won butler school of music string competition in 2015 and performed with Austin Civic Orchestra in Bates concert hall.

As a professional violinist, Luna is active in both performing and teaching around the world. Originally from China, where she served as acting concertmaster in Xi’An symphony orchestra, Luna has performed with many major orchestra including National China Performing Arts Orchestra, and Asian Youth Orchestra, Xi’An Symohony orchestra in many countries like South Korea, Singapore, Japan, Thailand, China as well as in the U.S.

Luna is a passionate teacher and violin instructor in the University of Texas at Austin String Project. In summer 2017, Luna was honorably selected as teaching fellow at the Interlochen Summer Arts Programs in Michigan which was founded in 1928 and is one of the largest and most successful summer art camps for young musicians in the U.S. Luna is Suzuki Violin Method Certified teacher and she runs her private violin studio in the Austin Area.

Luna loves teaching children and young musicians and she always tries to bring both professionalism and fun to the classes.
