Luciana Caixeta has a Doctorate degree in Music from University of Sao Paulo and completed her Masters degree in Violin Performance at Miami University, where she also studied the Alexander Technique. Her Suzuki Teacher Training includes Books 1-6 and Teaching Strategies, among other courses. She has taught violin and chamber music at the University of São Paulo in Ribeirão Preto (SP), at the Oxford Violin Studio and at the Miami University’s Young Musician’s Program. Luciana has performed with the Hamilton-Fairfield Symphony and Lebanon Symphony as well as with several chamber music ensembles. Recently, she has been teaching violin at the Escola de Música de Brasília, as well as at Centro Suzuki de Brasília and at her private studio in Lago Sul (Brasília, DF). Luciana is also the artistic director of Camerata do Cerrado, a multilevel string ensemble in which her students and guest musicians perform pieces from different genres and styles.
