I did my Suzuki training in the early 80’s when it was pretty loose and it does not show up in the records with the Suzuki Association. Books 1-6 plus advanced training with Louise Behrend at the School for Strings in New York City.

I have a Bachelors and Masters in violin performance/pedagogy (masters) from UT Austin where I studied with Leonard Posner and taught in the University of Texas String Project under Phyllis Young. I also played in the Austin Symphony while both an undergraduate and graduate school. In-between my degrees, I studied with David Nadien in New York and did post graduate study with Fredell Lack.

Moving to the Temple area in 1993, I was one of the founders of the Temple Symphony Orchestra and in 2005 I started the Academie Musique of Central Texas amcentex.org. We offer Suzuki violin, viola, cello as well as an array of other instruments and voice. Our Suzuki program includes weekly Suzuki group classes in addition to private lessons and three levels of orchestra.
