Liz Schmitt

Liz Schmitt has been a Suzuki musician nearly her entire life. She grew up taking Suzuki piano lessons with Carole Bigler, attending Suzuki summer institutes, and playing multiple instruments, but went on to a career in policy, which led her to Washington DC. Now, she has started a second career as a Suzuki piano teacher. She earned her Suzuki Unit 1 certification in 2020 and Unit 2 in Spring 2021. Her goal is to pass on a lifelong love of music to her students, bringing her recent training and her lifetime of experience on the student’s side of the Suzuki triangle. Liz teaches from a church on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC.
