Lindy Wagner began taking violin lessons shortly before the age of 5. She earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in violin performance from Eastern Michigan University. While at Eastern, Lindy served as concertmaster of the university’s Symphony Orchestra for several semesters. Starting in 2014, she held the position of concertmaster with the Keweenaw Symphony Orchestra for 5 years. She also has experience performing in community orchestras, chamber groups, churches, and weddings.

Lindy has over fifteen years of experience teaching violin and viola to students of all ages. She has completed violin teacher training through Book 8 of the Suzuki method. Lindy has also taken online violin pedagogy courses based on Mimi Zweig’s pedagogy approach. From 2014 to 2019, Lindy taught violin and viola in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula with the Copper Country Suzuki Association (CCSA) and for Michigan Technological University. During her time in the Copper Country, she also directed the CCSA’s beginning-level Reading Orchestra. In 2021, Lindy graduated with a bachelor of science in nursing degree from the University of Michigan-Flint. She now works in a neonatal ICU as a registered nurse. Continuing with her musical activities, Lindy maintains a small private studio of violin and viola students. In 2022, she started the Intermezzo Chamber Strings, a string orchestra for late beginner-level players of all ages. Her goal in teaching is to give her students a solid foundation in technique, help them develop expression in their playing, and teach them to enjoy and appreciate classical music.
