Lindsay Crofts is a violinist and teacher from Chicago, IL. She has been playing the violin since the age of three and has been teaching private lessons since 2005. Lindsay received her violin instruction from the Western Springs School of Talent and Education, a Suzuki school in Western Springs, IL. In 2009, Lindsay received her BA from Northwestern University’s Beinen School of Music in Violin Performance and Instrumental Music Education where she performed with the symphony orchestra, chamber orchestra, and participated in many diverse chamber groups. Since then, she has been an Orchestra Director for the past 11 years in the public schools. From 2012-2018, Lindsay was teaching in Austin, TX with Suzuki Strings of Austin and also directed a Suzuki in the Schools program in Round Rock ISD. At her school in Round Rock, she was an Arts Integration Specialist, working with grade-level teachers to find unique ways to integrate fine arts and core content into lessons. Lindsay was the Concertmaster for the Round Rock Symphony Orchestra and is a frequent sub for the Austin Symphony Orchestra. She currently resides in Dallas, TX and is directs the Suzuki program at Johnson Elementary in Prosper ISD.
