Liesl McWhorter

Liesl McWhorter is an Atlanta native who has been studying music for over twenty years.  She first began her music studies at age six under Atlanta Symphony Orchestra retiree, Pat Vas Dias.  Following her involvement in multiple youth symphonies throughout middle and high school, she continued her studies and received a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from Agnes Scott College.  Currently, Liesl teaches and performs in and around the Atlanta area.  She has played with multiple symphonies and pops orchestras including Columbus Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra Augusta, and Atlanta Pops, as well as toured with acclaimed artists such as Michael Buble, Rod Stewart, The Tran-Siberian Orchestra, and The New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players.  As a product of The Suzuki Method, her goal as a certified Suzuki teacher is to continue learning and growing, and to inspire young people to find the same joy in music that she experienced.
