Violin, Viola, Cello, Piano, Guitar Teacher

I have been a private violin instructor since 1981 when a neighbour asked for lessons. Finding out that I had a talent for teaching I have continued through the years. In 2006 I decided to return to school for my Bachelor of arts in music. I graduated in 2011 with a degree in violin performance. Because I am from a small city (10 000 people), I decided to continue my studies on the viola and also get my degree on that instrument. There are no qualified teachers for viola within an hours drive. Future plans are to also complete my piano degree. Once I began upgrading my skills I was hooked on wanting to do more, so I attended my first teacher training in July 2010. I have always used the Suzuki literature with traditional note reading, but I wanted to understand it more and teacher training gave me motivation to become even a better teacher. Currently I am offering lessons in many instruments. My background with each of these is with the Royal Conservatory of Music in Canada.
