Lauren Menard, a Dallas native, is thrilled to be back in her home town. She recently moved back to Texas from Louisiana, where she was a member of Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra. Prior to joining the LPO, Lauren was a member of the San Antonio Symphony for six seasons. While in San Antonio, Lauren was on the faculty of Our Lady of the Lake University, and maintained a vibrant private teaching studio.
Lauren performs regularly with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, as well as the Dallas Opera. In 2016 she appeared on FOX’s live musical televised production of The Passion hosted and narrated by Tyler Perry. Lauren has played with several music festivals, some including the Utah Festival Opera, the National Repertory Orchestra, and the Aspen Music Festival. She holds a bachelors degree in viola performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music, and a masters degree from Rice University.
Lauren is a passionate educator, always seeking fun and creative ways to encourage her students to love music and share it generously with others. She has had the privilege of learning from some of the finest Suzuki teachers in the country. Lauren recently taught as a guest clinician at the Greenville Suzuki Workshop.
Lauren is married to Steve Menard, Assistant Professor of Trombone at The University of North Texas. They reside in Corinth, TX with their two dogs, Dexter and Duke.
