Lauren Cooper received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Colorado in Violin Performance as well as a certificate in Violin Performance. While there she studied under Dr. Jubal Fulks and Margaret Gutierrez. She continued her studies at the University of Denver, Lamont School of Music where she graduated with her Masters of Music in Violin Suzuki Pedagogy and Violin Performance. At Lamont she studied under the tutelage of Professor Igor Pikazyen. Lauren has performed in many master classes and has received instruction from amazing performers around the world including Dr. Linda Wang, Harumi Rhodes, Daniel Sweaney, and others.

While she has achieved a high level of performance and has had opportunities to perform with symphonies and ensembles in Northern Colorado, her heart lies in teaching. Lauren is a certified and registered teacher with the Suzuki Association of Americas and received long term training from pre-twinkle through book 8 under master teacher, Kathleen Spring. While pursuing her education, she also maintained a violin studio of up to 14 students. Lauren is passionate about sharing her love of music with the next generation and hopes that through her positive, yet skillful, approach to teaching, her students will gain not only knowledge about music and violin playing, but a love for music that they will carry with them for a life time.
