Laura Williamson lives in the Boston area and teaches violin and viola. Laura has done teacher training with Carol Smith, Linda Fiore, Teri Einfeldt, Judy Bossuat-Gallic, Kirsten Marshall, and Lynn McCall. Laura graduated summa cum laude from Vanderbilt University with a bachelor’s degree in Viola Performance and Sociology in 2016. Laura is also a graduate of New England Conservatory where she earned a Master of Music degree under the tutelage of Marcus Thompson. She has been playing regularly with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra since 2014 and has also performed and recorded with the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de Cuba. Laura has spent summers in Breckenridge, CO with the National Repertory Orchestra, Green Mountain Chamber Music Institute, Round Top Festival Institute, the Brevard Music Center, and the Northern Lights Chamber Music Institute.
Laura has an active performing and teaching schedule and is currently on the faculty of New England Conservatory Preparatory School where she teaches violin and viola.
