Violin Teacher

Since completing Suzuki Violin Book 1 training with Linda Fiore in 2009, Laura has been a passionate practitioner of the Suzuki philosophy. A violinist herself since age 8, she inherited a studio of 12 students in October of 2009, a studio which has since grown to twenty students. Along the way, Laura has completed training in books 2-4 with Carrie Reuning-Hummel and Ed Kreitman, resulting in a solidified personal teaching style reinforced with the wisdom, advice, and instruction of great Suzuki violin teachers.

Comfortable teaching students of any age, Laura approaches each student with respect for their current level of ability and a clear vision for their “violin future.” She delights in the differences in each child’s personality and learning process, and nurtures these unique traits with humor and care to result in students that are capable, joyful violinists.

Laura holds a Bachelor of Arts in Violin Performance degree from Messiah College, where she studied with Peter Sirotin. She currently teaches a studio of twenty students ranging in age from 4 to 16 years old in Moorestown, New Jersey, and also teaches from her home in Northwest Philadelphia.
