Currently the strings instructor at Canterbury School of Florida and a violinist with the Tampa Bay Symphony. She previously played with the Gulf Coast Symphony (a community orchestra in Fort Myers) and the University of Florida Orchestra in Gainesville. Growing up in St. Petersburg, she began violin in the public school system before taking private lessons and performing with the Pinellas Youth Symphony. Her inspiration to teach came while studying the Suzuki Violin Method along side her three children with a dedicated Suzuki teacher in St. Petersburg. She continues to attend Suzuki summer music institutes, both as a student and as a Suzuki parent.

Mrs. Albee has extensive experience with young children, both as a parent and as a school volunteer. As a Suzuki parent, she understands well the challenges of motivating young students to practice (or even stand still for a lesson.

She recently completed Book 3 teacher training at the Chicago Music Institute (summer 2018) She currently focuses on young, beginner students (pre-Twinkle and Book 1 fundamentals) and will continue with additional SAA Training to serve her students’ future music education needs.
