Ms. Kristl Armstrong

Kristl tried out several instruments before discovering the cello at the age of 12. Cello turned out to be a very good fit! She studied at UBC and then at London’s Royal College of Music before returning to Vancouver, where she has performed with orchestras and chamber ensembles throughout the Lower Mainland. She has also been teaching for many years, serving on the faculty of many schools, but mainly at the Vancouver Academy of Music and the Langley Community Music School. Suzuki education is an ongoing project. She has attended Institutes all over North America, starting at Stevens Point, WI; and has been able to study with, among others, eminent teacher trainers Carey Beth Hockett, Rick Mooney, and Carey Cheney.
