Ms. Kiersten J. Baker

Kiersten Baker holds a MM in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the Moores School of Music at the University of Houston and a BM in Piano Pedagogy from Louisiana State University where she studied both piano and violin. Since 2011, Baker has enjoyed teaching people of all ages and stages of life in a variety of settings: piano and Suzuki violin; individual and group classes; Recreational Music Making; and theory and aural skills. Presently, she teaches with Bridges Fine Arts Academy, SOFA at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, and independently in central Houston. In whichever context, she is most passionate about making music accessible, relevant, and enjoyable to each student.
