Mr. Ken P. Giles

Ken Giles is a retired music teacher with D.C. public schools and a violin teacher with the D.C. Youth Orchestra Program. He also sings with the D.C. Labor Chorus.

Ken Giles is a graduate of the Interlochen Arts Academy and Swarthmore College. Inspired by the social activism of the 1960s, Ken spent almost 35 years working for health and safety programs before finally returning to his first love as a music/violin teacher.

He loves to teach the historical and cultural links to music. He enjoys classical, blues, jazz, R&B, and fiddle tunes… all types of music.
