Kelly Lehr grew up in the Twin Cities and has over twenty years of experience teaching Suzuki violin and viola to students of all ages. Coming from a musical family, Kelly studied piano and sang in several choirs as a young child before starting her Suzuki violin studies in the 6th grade with Didi Storeygard and Sarah Hersh. Kelly holds a Bachelor’s Degree in violin performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music where she studied with Henry Meyer and Naoko Tanaka. Kelly has received her teacher training from Alice Joy Lewis, Craig Timmerman, Kathy Wood, Joan Reuning, Margery Aber, Yuko Honda, Stevie Sandven, Sarah Hersh and others. She has been on the Suzuki faculty at the MacPhail Center for Music since 2006.
