At the age of six Keith Lokey began his bass studies with Dr. Daniel Swaim in the Arizona Double Bass Research Consort. This group formed to develop repertoire for a trial version of Suzuki Bass School Book One. As part of this group, Keith performed at conferences across the country. He also took part in the Thirteenth World Suzuki Method Conference in Japan where he acted as an ambassador from the United States.

While attending Arizona State University, Keith studied the effects music can have on one’s physiological and psychological well being while pursuing a degree in Music Therapy. Keith has worked with various populations using music to achieve physical, mental, and psychological goals.

Keith is currently Principal Bass with the Boulder Symphony. He is also attending Denver University for a Masters in Music Performance where he can be seen performing with the Lamont Symphony Orchestra and various chamber ensembles.
