Kathleen has over a decade of experience working with kids of all ages. As a fully registered Suzuki cello teacher, she loves combining her two passions: connecting with children and making music. She holds degrees in cello performance from Cleveland State and University of Maryland, where she studied with members of The Cleveland Orchestra and the National Symphony Orchestra. In 2020, Kathleen completed long term training in Suzuki Pedagogy through books 1-10 over the course of two years at the Cleveland Institute of Music with Abbey Hansen.

Her work as a nanny, during her time as a graduate student and private teacher, has added to her tool chest of communication and instruction strategies. Through her vast teaching experience including 3 year olds, those with differing abilities, and adults, Kathleen meets each student where they are with specific goals to help them find joy in creating music to the best of their ability. Having recently moved to Gahanna, Kathleen is looking forward to growing her private studio here. She enjoys reading and taking walks with her husband and her golden retriever, Maisie.
