The Calderone School of Music is a NJ Registered Professional Development Provider and offers private music lessons for all ages and levels on all instruments: strings, woodwinds, brasses, percussion, organ, piano, accordion, keyboards, voice, and popular, jazz and classical guitar and bass. The school also has a College Preparatory Division and Professional Development Division. Music Exploration classes are offered as a fun-fill enriching adventure in music concepts for young children from 18 months to age 7 years and a Suzuki Strings Plus Program. Students may choose to take part in ensembles, auditions, competitions, CSM exams and many other organizations and recitals or simply learn for their own enjoyment.
The Calderone School of Music was founded in 1975 providing a comprehensive quality education. The experienced professional staff of forty-five dedicated teachers with advanced degrees in music consists of certified teachers and college professors, teaching their specialty instruments with an enrollment of approximately 2,000 students. Kathleen Calderone, the founder, received her BA in Music Education from Kean University, holds a Kodàly Graduate Certification in Music from Westminster Choir College, obtained her Masters of Arts for Teachers in Music at Rutgers University, a New Jersey Supervisor Certification, and is pursuing Ph.D. from Capella University She is also an adjunct Professor at Kean University.
