Katherine Wright

I have a Bachelor of Music degree and I have been playing the flute since age 10. I currently perform with the Henderson Symphony Orchestra and the CSN Community Wind Ensemble where I play both flute and piccolo. I also play with the Sirocco Flute Choir and the UNLV Flute Choir where I play flute, piccolo, alto flute, and bass flute.

I have a background in the Suzuki method where I focus on nurturing my students in a positive environment as a teacher and a mentor. My goal is to help inspire and encourage my students to reach their potential as a flute player. I believe in taking the time to understand what the student needs to develop, whether it is their tone, phrasing, musicianship, musicality, technique, etc. I utilize both Suzuki and Traditional methods to accomplish my teaching goals with students. I am based in Southwest Las Vegas; however, I am able to travel to other areas of Las Vegas to accommodate students.
