Mrs. Katherine Becker Mansouri

Katherine Becker Mansouri is founder and director of Brentwood Suzuki Strings. For 10 years she was Adjunct Artist Teacher of Suzuki Violin at Blair School of Music, Vanderbilt University. Previously she was on the Suzuki String faculty at University of Memphis. She received her B.M. in performance at West Virginia University and her M.M. in performance and Suzuki pedagogy from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville studying with John Kendall. A Suzuki parent for many years, to her three children, she brings to her teaching a wealth of knowledge and experience from both a parent and teacher perspective. Katherine is a native of Huntington, WV and 26 year resident of Brentwood, Tennessee. She is a member of Middle Tennessee Suzuki Association, previously serving on the Board of Directors, and is a member of MTNA, TMTA and NAMTA, Nashville Area Music Teachers Association. She is also Children’s Choir Director at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, Franklin, Tennessee.
