I began studying Suzuki piano when I was 6 and spent many mornings on the piano bench practicing with my dad. I had some wonderful teachers and experiences that encouraged me to continue my lessons until I graduated high school. Along the way, I also participated in school bands, school choirs, the International Children’s Choir, and voice lessons. In college, I took a few semesters of music classes, but mostly practiced on my own while I was studying to be a Biology teacher with a minor in TESOL (Teaching English to Students of Other Languages).

After graduating I taught 7th grade science and Biology for a few years before switching gears to become a Suzuki piano teacher. I have been studying with a wonderful teacher trainer as well as other talented Suzuki piano teachers and have enjoyed revisiting the songs I grew up playing. I’m excited to welcome new students into my studio to share my experiences with them and help them create their own!
