Kate Swanson is a musician of the Denver Metro area. Miss Swanson has played the violin for over twenty years. She grew up learning violin through the Suzuki Method and playing in small ensembles, including the Colorado Young Sinfonia from 2003-2006. Since she has enjoyed performing with many area instrumental and Renaissance focused vocal ensembles, including performances for local composer Francis J. Pierson. She currently plays with the Littleton Symphony and in a quartet. Miss Swanson holds a Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music, UK in Violin Performance. She received her Suzuki training under William Starr, Dorothy Jones, and Kathleen Spring at the University of Denver and also studied the Ward Method (music literacy) at University of Northern Colorado under Dr. Alise Brown.
