Kate has been teaching in private schools and her own home studio for 15 years. She grew up learning the Suzuki method with violin at age 2, and piano at age 5. She has spent her life loving the benefits of music, and enjoying playing with others. She received a B.A. in Music from Wheaton College, MA, where she was twice awarded the Helen Zoe Duncan Prize in Piano Performance. She received a M.M.ed. from Boston University. She has completed Suzuki Teacher Training in Piano and Violin, with notable teachers Linda Fiore, Jane Kutscher Reed and Phyllis Kraunz. She has multiple certifications including Orff & Kodaly. She lives in Southborough with her husband and three children, all of them Suzuki kids! Kate’s studio is upbeat, filled with positive energy, and geared towards strong communication between teacher and parents. Music has benefited Kate’s life in so many ways and she is fortunate to be able to pass on this gift to her students.
