I started as a Suzuki student when I was seven years old, playing Violin in the SIUE Program led by John Kendall. It was a fantastic experience that helped shape my life and my passion for music. I started playing in the St. Louis Philharmonic when I was only twelve, and a few years later was accepted into the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra. Since then I have played in amateur and semi-professional orchestras whenever possible.
I have a degree in English from Millikin University, with a minor equivalent in music. After graduation I took three semesters of long term Suzuki pedagogy back at SIUE in the same program where my Suzuki adventure began. Things came full circle (or triangle) when my children began studying Suzuki violin.
