June Bender is a versatile violinist, teacher and composer from Philadelphia. June holds a BM from Temple University, and MM with Suzuki Pedagogy emphasis from The Hartt School. Her primary teachers include Katie Lansdale, and Philadelphia Orchestra members Lisa-Beth Lambert and Yumi Ninomiya Scott. June completed Suzuki training with Carrie Reuning-Hummel, and long-term Suzuki teacher training with Teri Einfeldt.

In addition to freelancing as a classical violinist, June stays active playing many styles of music including Irish fiddle, tango, swing jazz, and freely improvised music. She also founded and leads the group, Unseen Rain, for which she writes original music. June performs regularly in Philadelphia with VoxAmaDeus, the Belleville Quartet, and numerous regional orchestras including Bucks County Symphony Orchestra, PA Philharmonic, and Reading Symphony.

June aims to instill a deep love and appreciation for music in her students, and enjoys working with students of all ages and levels. She teaches from her home studio in Ardmore, PA.
