Julia Gray-Lion Julia is forever grateful to Jed Fritzmeier for “selling” her on the benefits of playing violin, Melissa Gerber-Knect for helping her push her musical limits and Peter Rosheger for helping her dream big dreams. Mr. Jeffery Irvine helped take her viola performances to the next level with Alexander Technique and Mental Preparedness training. Mrs. Joanne Hall Erwin sent Julia from the Oberlin College Conservatory into the vast adventure of teaching in Texas.

Julia has had the distinct privilege of being a part of the Arlington ISD strings faculty, the UTA Summer Strings Camp faculty, the Wichita Falls Youth Symphony Orchestra Camp, and other classical and fiddle camps in North Texas. Currently, Julia is delighted to be a part of the music faculty at Bishop Dunne Catholic School in Dallas, TX while maintaining an elite private studio in addition to her responsibilities to BDCS.

Sharing music of all types through the beautiful medium of violin, viola, cello, bass is her mission! Julia aspires to share the joy and discipline of string orchestral instrument music as far and as wide as she can by developing musical, leadership, and meta-cognitive skills in the next generation of musicians. Contact her to find out how she can support your child’s musical dreams.
